Key Responsibilities:
* Triage incoming calls and provide nursing coordination
* Utilize critical thinking skills to provide quality service
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide individualized care for patients of all ages
* Consult with callers, analyze information, and provide counseling and referrals as needed
* Direct patients to liaison nurses, physicians, emergency rooms, or urgent care centers as appropriate
* Schedule patient appointments, process referrals, and collect demographic and insurance data
Requirements:
* Graduate of a school of professional nursing (BS RN preferred, CNS RN preferred)
* 4 years of varied nursing experience, with some experience in inpatient nursing and ambulatory nursing
* Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Virginia or eligible to sit for the Virginia licensure exam
* Must successfully complete orientation and competency requirements
