Position Details

Location: Pen Argyl, PA
Shift: Tuesday to Friday, 5:30 PM to 5:30 AM (includes a shift differential)

Role Summary:
As a Production Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of our production machinery. This position requires mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn how to adjust, troubleshoot, repair, and operate various equipment within our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate production machinery to fulfill production requirements while adhering to quality standards.
  • Produce assigned products by following both verbal and written instructions.
  • Perform equipment setup and routine preventative maintenance.
  • Utilize tools and measuring devices for equipment maintenance, adjustments, and repairs.
  • Accurately complete daily production and maintenance documentation.
  • Dismantle and reassemble heavy machinery components using appropriate tools.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Conduct minor repairs on equipment and escalate issues to maintenance to prevent production interruptions.
  • Adhere to established policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Communicate any product discrepancies or equipment issues during shift changes.
  • Wear personal protective equipment as per safety training guidelines.
  • Assist the Chief Operator in daily tasks and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3-4+ years of experience in an automated production environment or in a leadership role.
  • Experience in frontline leadership.
  • Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to communicate effectively regarding performance, quality, safety, and process efficiency.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge is advantageous.
  • Preferred experience in manufacturing concrete and related products.
  • Familiarity with concrete manufacturing equipment such as Masa, Hess, Omag, Columbia, Rekers, and Besser is a plus.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Position-specific experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
  • Adaptability, organizational skills, and professionalism.
  • Basic computer skills; knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft tools is a plus.
Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this role require the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 80 pounds. The role involves close inspection and constant monitoring of production machinery. Regular movement throughout the facility is necessary, as well as the ability to reach, talk, hear, and smell. Occasionally, the position may require remaining stationary, climbing stairs and ladders, and working in confined spaces.
