Middlebury College is seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our dining team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in preparing, cooking, and serving high-quality meals for our campus community.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Review production sheets and menus to prepare a variety of food items according to recipes and volume requirements.
- Ingredient Preparation: Prepare proteins, vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients for daily meal production, including salad bar items.
- Cooking: Cook and prepare food items at individual stations throughout the shift, following supervisor's instructions and production sheets.
- Collaboration: Work with kitchen staff to maintain timely and efficient meal service. Assist other cooks and dining staff as needed.
- Quality Control: Conduct taste tests and ensure food presentation meets quality standards before service.
- Service Setup: Set up service lines with fresh food to avoid shortages or excess.
- Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment to uphold sanitary kitchen procedures.
