About the Role

Laradon is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide mental health and behavioral services to support the well-being of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide school-based counseling services to students in one-on-one and group settings.
  • Develop and implement affective education student groups.
  • Collaborate with student families, school, and district teams in the development of Individual Education Program (IEP) goals and behavior intervention plans (BIP).
  • Administer, score, and interpret social emotional/behavioral assessments and gather developmental histories for IEPs.
  • Plan, organize, and produce school-wide programs that promote positive student behaviors and school culture.
  • Maintain records and complete documentation according to Laradon procedures, Colorado Department of Education (CDE) and Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) rules.
  • Provide consultation and support to classrooms regarding mental health, trauma-informed care, and behavioral interventions.

Requirements
  • Masters in Social Work with coursework in special education law and behavior intervention.
  • Current Colorado Department of Education License for Special Service Provider, School Social Worker required.
  • 3 years of treatment-oriented experience.
  • Experience supporting children with special needs preferably in a school or day treatment setting.
  • Experience working with a multidisciplinary team preferred.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.
