Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Act as a patient advocate throughout their care continuum.
- Serve as a liaison among management, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
- Coordinate treatment efforts, focusing on quality improvement and educational initiatives.
- Gather and analyze data to track outcomes and suggest process enhancements.
- Provide referrals and support for patients lacking insurance or adequate coverage.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Must possess a Registered Nurse credential from the Maryland Board of Nursing prior to employment.
- BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is preferred.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school or professional licensure at the time of hire.
Additional Preferences
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Registered Nurse credential from the Maryland Board of Nursing.
- Triage certification from AAACN or another accredited nursing board is preferred.
- Minimum of five years of clinical experience in acute or outpatient care.
- At least one year of telephone triage experience is preferred.
