Radiation Therapist

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at the Inova Schar Cancer Center. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in the treatment of cancer patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for administering radiation treatments to patients, ensuring accurate setup and administration of treatments, and maintaining a safe and efficient treatment environment. You will also be responsible for communicating effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and other healthcare team members.

• Administer radiation treatments to patients, ensuring accurate setup and administration of treatments.
• Maintain a safe and efficient treatment environment, adhering to radiation safety protocols and guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and other healthcare team members.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to patients.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest radiation therapy techniques and technologies.

• Associate degree in Radiation Therapy or related field.
• American Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification or registry eligible within one year of employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon start.
