Cybersecurity is a top priority at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and we're seeking highly skilled professionals to join our ranks as Chief Cybersecurity Defenders. In this critical role, you will play a key part in protecting our data, systems, and networks from cyber threats.

About the Job

This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced cybersecurity professionals to contribute their expertise in identifying and mitigating current threats, anticipating future challenges, and implementing proactive measures to safeguard CIA's IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Threat Identification and Mitigation: Utilize your exceptional skills in network security, operating system security, and cloud security to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Cybersecurity Incident Response: Collaborate with our incident response team to respond to and contain security incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to our operations.
  • Continuous Monitoring and Improvement: Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies, implementing new security measures and best practices to enhance our overall cybersecurity posture.
Requirements:
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in cybersecurity, preferably in a government or intelligence agency setting.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • Skills:\ul>
  • Network Security: Proficiency in network protocols, firewalls, routers, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Operating System Security: Experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems, including patch management and vulnerability assessment.
  • Cloud Security: Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Cybersecurity Tools: Knowledge of security tools such as SIEM, SOAR, and endpoint detection and response.
Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, or CEH certification is desirable.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is $145,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
