The Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our Transplant team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered care while overseeing the coordination of department processes.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with staff daily to support a positive environment of teamwork that results in quality patient outcomes, service excellence, and staff satisfaction.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in routine Nurse Leader Rounding, providing service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, employee recognition, and evidence-based department process improvements.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, onboarding, and training new staff.
- Recommends and implements courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure clinical excellence.
- May assist with staff scheduling and day-to-day staffing; Manages all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Supports proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Two years or more clinical/in-patient experience with intermediate level of care patients.
- Charge Nurse experience in an inpatient setting (strongly preferred).
- Previous experience with solid organ transplant patients (strongly preferred).
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN strongly preferred.
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
