Server Job Description

At Big Mike's BBQ Smokehouse Restaurants, we're seeking a skilled Server to join our team. As a Server, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Service: Provide prompt and courteous service to guests, ensuring they are seated promptly and their orders are taken, prepared, and served in a timely manner.
  • Order Management: Accurately receive payment from guests and ensure the accuracy of the guest check and method of payment to protect both the customer and the restaurant.
  • Menu Knowledge: Establish a thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to respond to client inquiries and make recommendations.
  • Table Management: Promptly seat guests, take food and beverage orders, serve meals on time, and accommodate any special requests.
  • Cleaning and Restocking: Restock and clean as instructed, including side work for opening and closing of the restaurant.
Requirements:
  • Communication Skills: Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Organizational Skills: Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience: Prefer some experience working in the food service industry.
  • Customer Service: Proven customer service experience with a strong guest-focused mentality.
