POSITION SUMMARY
The Pre-Kindergarten Teacher Apprentice will collaborate with seasoned educators to cultivate teaching competencies, acquire hands-on classroom experience, and provide comprehensive instructional support, contributing to the academic success of our students. Key responsibilities encompass reinforcing knowledge and skills, tracking student progress, and preparing educational materials. This role offers the chance to learn and develop within a nurturing and innovative educational framework.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work alongside lead educators to enhance classroom management and foster an engaging learning atmosphere.
- Assist in the design and execution of lesson plans, instructional activities, and assessments.
- Deliver individualized or small group instruction to reinforce educational objectives.
- Support students in cultivating both academic and social-emotional skills.
- Engage in professional development sessions and workshops to improve teaching capabilities and knowledge.
- Participate in teacher meetings, observe experienced educators, and engage in reflective practices.
- Collaborate with mentor teachers to receive constructive feedback, guidance, and support for ongoing improvement.
- Stay updated on current educational trends, instructional strategies, and best practices.
- Build positive and inclusive relationships with students, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Assist in evaluating student progress and maintaining accurate records of performance.
- Support behavior management and reinforce classroom expectations.
- Work with other staff members to identify and address student needs and challenges.
- Establish effective communication with parents/guardians, keeping them informed about student progress and achievements.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events to strengthen home-school partnerships.
- Contribute to the school community by attending and supporting extracurricular activities and events.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- An Associates or Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
Experience:
- 0-2 years of experience in an educational role.
