Key Responsibilities- Surveillance and Monitoring:
- Utilize surveillance systems to monitor designated areas and identify potential security threats.
- Conduct regular patrols to ensure premises are secure and respond to security incidents as needed.
- Access Control:
- Monitor access points and verify the credentials of personnel, visitors, and vendors.
- Implement security protocols to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive areas.
- Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire, medical incidents, or security threats.
- Follow established procedures to handle crisis situations and liaise with emergency services when necessary.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Prepare incident reports outlining security breaches or disturbances.
- Customer Service:
- Provide assistance and guidance to visitors, customers, and employees when needed.
- Act as a point of contact for inquiries and directions.
- Security Measures Implementation:
- Enforce security protocols and guidelines established for the respective locations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of security procedures.
- Security Guard Card: Required
- Motor Vehicle Report: Ability to pass and provide a clean 39-month report
- Security Experience: Proven experience in security-related roles or relevant training (security certification, law enforcement background, etc.)
- Surveillance Systems: Knowledge of surveillance systems and security operations
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexibility: Flexibility with work schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- First Aid/CPR Certification: Preferred
- Security Software: Proficiency in using security software and technology
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work will primarily be performed in an office environment.
- Work will be performed both inside and outside on a regular basis, in most weather conditions.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required as a normal part of this position.
- Occasional local day travel, Local travel to managed businesses.
