Situated conveniently, this position is located within a reasonable distance from a major urban center.
Contract Duration:
We are looking for a commitment of 6-12 months, with the potential for ongoing engagement.
Reason for Hiring:
This position addresses a permanent vacancy, ensuring continuity of care for our patients.
Work Schedule:
The selected candidate will be required to be present in the clinic weekly, with a commitment of 3-4 days per week, ensuring a minimum engagement of 90 days.
Working Hours:
Typical shifts are Monday through Thursday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
On-Call Requirements:
There are no inpatient responsibilities or on-call duties associated with this position.
Patient Care:
The physician will manage a patient volume that includes 60-minute consultations for new patients and 30-minute follow-ups, with flexibility for extended time for complex cases.
Practice Scope:
This role encompasses outpatient care, with a balanced focus on both hematology and oncology, allowing providers to place their own orders.
Electronic Medical Records:
Utilization of Epic for patient documentation and management.
Affiliated Healthcare Facility:
This position is associated with a referral center that serves the surrounding rural communities, featuring a 39-bed capacity and a Level III trauma designation.
Support Structure:
The physician will benefit from a full specialist team, with additional support available from a larger group as needed. An NP specializing in oncology will be present four days a week.
Qualifications:
Candidates must be board-certified or truly board-eligible in Medical Oncology.
