Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Operations Manager to join our team at SYDENSTRICKER NOBBE PARTNERS. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for managing service operations to ensure customer satisfaction and maximize return on investment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage service department processes to ensure customer satisfaction and optimize service department efficiency
  • Grow profitable service labor sales and exercise disciplined expense control
  • Attract, retain, and develop department personnel
  • Communicate and enforce service department processes to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Carry out annual location service department goals and budget in alignment with organizational financial and operational objectives
  • Execute service department marketing plan with direction from corporate service manager and marketing manager
  • Ensure timely processing of service warranty and Product Improvement Program claims
  • Schedule and assign jobs and work areas to employees in the service department according to their skills and knowledge
  • Review work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to customer billing
  • Manage recruiting, staffing, and employee development activities for employees reporting to this position
  • Assist with the development and training of service personnel and complete performance reviews of service staff
  • Participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs to develop skills and knowledge
  • Maintain knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience working in a service department with demonstrated experience consistently meeting performance metrics
  • Experience with off-road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment
  • Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for diagnostic purposes
  • Experience with basic computer functions and using Service ADVISOR or other computer-based diagnostic repair tools
  • Experience leading and working cooperatively in a team environment
  • Experience communicating effectively and analyzing and interpreting internal reports
  • Adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
  • Valid drivers license required; CDL (Commercial Drivers License) preferred
