Job Title: Engineer II, Algorithm

At Masimo, we are seeking a highly skilled Engineer II, Algorithm to join our team of innovators. This role will play a critical part in the development of new non-invasive measurements and the application of measurement technologies to new areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, implement, test, and document algorithms for Biomedical Signal Processing systems.
  • Perform data collection, analysis, and estimation techniques to drive innovation in medical device development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to bring new ideas to life.
  • Develop and implement signal processing, optimization, and numerical modeling techniques using C, C++, and MATLAB.
  • Conduct experiments to collect and process clinical data, and develop algorithms for photometric processing of physiological parameters.
  • Carry out statistical analysis of clinical data to inform product development and improvement.
Requirements:
  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in statistical signal processing techniques, optimization methods, and numerical modeling.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++/Matlab and exposure to software engineering methods.
  • Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of human physiology and experience designing clinical protocols.
  • Prior experience in applications of signal processing tools to bio-medical signals.
Compensation:

The anticipated range for this position is $106,000 - $158,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience.

Work Environment:

This position primarily works in an office environment, requiring frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver's license is required.
