Position Summary: This role involves operating a forklift within a rugged outdoor environment that spans over 50 acres, consisting of both paved and unpaved areas. The ideal candidate must thrive in a dynamic manufacturing setting, which may be covered or uncovered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate stretch wrap machines, film roll up-enders, and extended boom arm forklift equipment.
  • Organize products in the yard in accordance with inventory protocols.
  • Safely load and unload products from flatbeds and box trailers.
  • Validate packing slips, shipping tickets, and other delivery documentation by auditing, recording, and interpreting relevant shipping documents, weights and measures, labels, and production schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience operating a 5,000 lb forklift in an outdoor yard setting.
  • High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to perform routine inspections, fueling, and preventive maintenance tasks (including lubrication, cleaning, and battery changes).
  • Proficient in reading and writing in English.
  • Strong math, communication, and comprehension skills to effectively interact with transportation, dispatch, and direct trailer hitch operations.
  • Must successfully complete internal Forklift Certification Training and demonstrate adherence to safety protocols.
  • Able to perform job duties in potentially dusty, hot, and/or cold working conditions.
