About the Role: This position entails the operation of a forklift within a diverse 50+ acre outdoor environment, comprising both paved and unpaved areas. The ideal candidate must thrive in a dynamic manufacturing setting, which may include both sheltered and exposed workspaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate various machinery including stretch wrap machines, film roll up-enders, and extended boom arm forklifts.
  • Organize and manage product placement on the yard in accordance with inventory protocols.
  • Safely load and unload products from flatbeds and box trailers.
  • Validate shipping documentation such as packing slips and ship tickets by auditing and interpreting relevant information.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience operating a 5,000 lb forklift in an outdoor yard setting.
  • High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to conduct routine inspections, fueling, and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Proficient in reading and writing in English.
  • Strong math, communication, and comprehension skills to interact effectively with transportation and dispatch teams.
  • Must successfully complete internal Forklift Certification Training and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Capable of performing tasks in varying environmental conditions, including dusty, hot, or cold settings.
