Join Our Culinary Team as a Pastry Production Assistant

Compensation:
$20-22 per hour

Work Schedule:
Thursday to Monday (flexibility available)

Pastry Chef Rebecca Ellis

The role of the Pastry Production Assistant involves crafting dessert offerings for our service and special events.

This position requires close collaboration with the Pastry Chef to assist in all facets of production, organization, and recipe innovation.

We seek a dedicated team player who exemplifies initiative and self-motivation, with a commitment to personal and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a variety of dessert items for our menu and events, adhering to departmental standards efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in food preparation and storage areas.
  • Understand and properly utilize kitchen equipment, ensuring safe and intended use.
  • Set up your workstation with necessary tools and supplies, restocking as required.
  • Complete daily inventory tasks and prioritize production activities throughout your shift.
  • Communicate needs for ordering supplies effectively.

Qualifications
  • Familiarity with basic cooking and baking methods; experience with ice cream is advantageous.
  • Ability to accurately follow recipes and directives.
  • 1+ years of experience in a professional kitchen or bakery is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Availability to work during daytime hours from Thursday to Monday.

Physical Requirements
The physical demands of this role include seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds, along with prolonged periods of sitting and standing, bending, and intermittent movement during work hours. These requirements can be met with or without reasonable accommodations.
