Position Overview:
  • This role entails supervising designated audit functions while acting as the Auditor-in-Charge (AIC) and implementing the audit strategy for various Lines of Business (LOBs).
  • Core responsibilities encompass steering risk-based audits by outlining the scope and testing procedures to assess the control environment in alignment with audit policies, evaluating issues for business implications, and proposing severity ratings, drafting audit reports, and nurturing business partner relationships. Expectations include promoting an inclusive workplace and mentoring team members.
Responsibilities:
  • Implements audit strategies for effective risk-based auditing by defining audit scopes and programs, and crafting audit reports utilizing automation and innovative techniques in a timely and high-quality manner.
  • Serves as Auditor-in-Charge (AIC) by supervising audit testing, ensuring timely execution in accordance with quality standards, audit policies, and procedures.
  • Evaluates impacts on business processes, controls, and strategies to offer recommendations on severity ratings and escalate overarching themes or trends based on existing business insights.
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and judgment to effectively influence and challenge management to enhance the control environment and promote continuous improvements in auditing.
  • Leads a team of associates, providing daily mentoring and guidance while fostering an inclusive work atmosphere.
  • Maintains business partner relationships, primarily with line management, to enhance business knowledge.
  • Utilizes sound knowledge of products, business, and technical expertise to effectively challenge management in improving the control environment.
  • Employs analytical skills and expertise in Global Markets Electronic Trading to fulfill assigned audit testing responsibilities.
  • Guides the team in delivering quality audit reports and shares audit findings with business leaders.
  • Exhibits critical thinking and judgment to effectively influence management for the enhancement of the control environment.
  • Responsible for leading and executing multiple areas of testing during audit activities.
  • Independently conducts audit test work on assigned audits, showcasing strong project management skills.
  • Identifies issues and concerns, making recommendations for severity ratings.
  • Assesses issues for their impact on business processes, controls, and strategies, recommending severity ratings and escalation of broad themes or trends.
  • Collaborates with the team to draft quality audit reports and supports the communication of audit results with business leaders.
  • Begins to cultivate business partner relationships, primarily engaging with line management.
  • Utilizes critical thinking and judgment to effectively influence management to enhance the control environment.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 6-7+ years of experience in Audit, Risk, Business Control, Compliance, Finance, or related fields.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Electronic Trading, including Direct Market Access, Algorithm trading & Strategies, and Sponsored Access.
  • Capability to plan, execute, and assess audit test plans within a risk-based audit framework.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to influence management and lead change in both strategic and tactical initiatives.
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, capable of teaching others, with a positive attitude, demonstrating flexibility and intellectual curiosity.
  • Robust analytical skills.
  • Proficient in analyzing extensive data sets and transforming them into actionable insights.
  • Adept at managing multiple tasks and swiftly adapting to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary: $130,000 - $160,001 / year
