Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to provide exceptional care to our residents at Emerald Nursing & Rehab Omaha. The CMA will play a crucial role in administering medications, monitoring resident health, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a clinical healthcare environment, requiring a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities:
  • Accurately administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with facility protocols and physician orders.
  • Monitor resident health and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
  • Maintain a clean and organized medication storage area and follow infection control procedures.
  • Provide compassionate and respectful assistance to residents, addressing their needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and ensure resident needs are met.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation, including medication administration records and resident health observations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a skilled nursing facility or similar environment, is preferred but not required.
  • Current certification as a Medication Aide (CMA) as required by NE regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to lift and transfer residents as needed, and to perform tasks that require physical stamina and endurance.

  • Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.
