We are seeking a skilled Certified Medication Aide to join our team at Omega Senior Living. As a Medication Administration Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering medications and providing direct care.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of the attending physician, nurse supervisor, or charge nurse, and Director of Nursing Services.
- Provide direct care to residents following the individualized care plan.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion in the performance of personnel tasks.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment in the community.
- Adhere to community infection control policies and procedures.
- Document resident health and emotional condition, and report changes to the supervisor.
- Must possess a high school education or its equivalent.
- Must be a licensed Certified Medication Aide with successful completion of a state-approved training program and any necessary examination(s).
- Prefer prior experience in AL or SNU, and prior experience as a certified medication aide for at least 1 year.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, deal tactfully with personnel and residents, and have patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition.
