Diagnostic Imaging Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at a medical facility located just north of Durham, North Carolina. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic X-ray and CT exams, including portables, fluoroscopy, and OR coverage as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate CT equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue.
  • Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
  • Set controls on related equipment, monitor patient and equipment, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast, if applicable.
  • Dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans.
  • Assist radiologists with interventional CT procedures.
Requirements:
  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). RT(R) required, RT(R)(CT) preferred.
  • All technologists must maintain their registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
  • All imaging specialists are required to maintain current competency in HCP BLS.
