CT Technologist Job Description

Duke University Health System is seeking a skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our imaging services team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners, power injectors, and related equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex tasks associated with CT scanner operation, including positioning patients and evaluating scan quality.
  • Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, including starting IVs and injecting contrast.
  • Collate and label processed images, and transmit them to the Image Archival System.
  • Schedule patients for procedures and assist with clerical functions.
  • Charge procedures and supplies in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification.
  • Current ARRT registration in Computed Tomography (CT) within 18 months of employment.
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a CT Technologist, or completion of a program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification.
