Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician to join our team at Surpass Behavioral Health. As a key member of our therapy team, you will work closely with our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to provide individualized services to children with autism in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of positive behavior support plans, IEPs, and 504 plans utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles in the school setting.
  • Provide direct 1:1 and/or small group therapy to identified students to implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction interventions as directed by the BCBA.
  • Implement and report data on programs such as student IEP goals, behavioral management, social skills, and academic areas.
  • Collaborate, communicate, and assist with the training of school district staff.
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for students and school teams.
  • Implement student behavior intervention plans and/or safety plans as developed by the BCBA.
  • Collect and analyze skill acquisition and challenging behavior data, with oversight and supervision provided by a BCBA.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor or Associate Degree in behavioral health, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Special Education, or related field, preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various schools within assigned region.
  • Active Registered Behavior Technician Certification issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Prior professional experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in a multi-disciplinary team setting is a plus.
  • Works with integrity and adheres to the BACB Ethical Code, HIPAA practices, and company policies.
  • Ability to move freely, quickly, and frequently from a seated position (on the floor or in a chair) to a standing position as well as the ability to lift items up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
