About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Behavior Technician to join our team at Surpass Behavioral Health. As a valued member of our therapy team, you will work under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide individualized services to children with autism in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of positive behavior support plans, IEP, and/or 504 plans utilizing ABA principles in the school setting.
- Provide direct 1:1 and/or small group therapy to identified student(s) to implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction interventions as directed by the BCBA.
- Implement and report data on programs such as student's IEP goals, behavioral management, social skills, and academic areas.
- Collaborate, communicate, and assist with the training of school district staff.
- Collect and analyze skill acquisition and challenging behavior data, with oversight and supervision provided by a BCBA.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor or Associate Degree in behavioral health, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Special Education, or related field, preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various schools within assigned region.
- Active Registered Behavior Technician Certification issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
- Prior professional experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in a multi-disciplinary team setting is a plus.
- Works with integrity and adheres to the BACB Ethical Code, HIPAA practices, and company policies.
- Ability to move freely, quickly, and frequently from a seated position (on the floor or in a chair) to a standing position as well as the ability to lift items up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
