MetaSense Inc is on the lookout for a dedicated Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse to deliver exceptional patient care through the nursing process. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with assessing, diagnosing, and managing the health needs of pediatric patients, while also overseeing the nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the care requirements of pediatric patients
- Create detailed and individualized care plans
- Administer direct nursing care to patients
- Monitor and assess patient reactions and progress
- Coordinate the overall approach to patient care
- Engage in quality enhancement initiatives
- Facilitate effective communication within the team
Additional Duties:
- Contribute to the orientation of new nursing staff
- Take on leadership responsibilities as assigned
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients
- Serve as a clinical mentor for nursing students
- Pursue ongoing professional development and education
Essential Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
- Proficient in managing ventilators, tracheostomy and gastrostomy tubes, medication adjustments, and arterial lines
Essential Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Required Certifications & Licenses:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PAL)
- Registered Nurse License in New York
