Master Woodworker and Structure Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Master Woodworker and Structure Specialist to join our team at Lands' End. This role requires a deep understanding of various types of construction equipment and materials, with a strong focus on layout, installation, repair, finishing, and maintenance of structures, fixtures, and buildings. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, cutting, and measuring materials according to building requests, ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or building plans to ensure accurate project execution.
• Assess the quality of woodwork and materials needed for completing a job, ensuring that all requirements are met.
• Assist with structural design, planning, layout, and installation of campus building projects, working closely with other team members to achieve project deadlines.
• Conduct repair work and installation of doors, walls, flooring, cabinets, trim, and other fixtures as required, adhering to all safety rules and company policies.
• Proficiently use woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools in constructing various projects, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
• Adhere to local building codes and established health and safety regulations, ensuring that all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Requirements and Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience as a woodworker or carpentry apprenticeship, with a strong focus on attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with other team members.
• Ability to work with other woodworkers on various projects, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
• Comfortable using all hand and woodworking power tools, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
• Knowledge of mathematics and basic design principles, with the ability to apply this knowledge to complex projects.
• Ability and willingness to learn new skills as needed, with a strong focus on professional development.
• Works well under pressure with tight deadlines, maintaining high standards and a strong focus on quality.
• Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination, with the ability to stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in various conditions, with a strong focus on adaptability and flexibility.
• Must have the ability and willingness to obtain certification to operate forklifts and all Lands' End motorized vehicles.
• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Estimated Salary: $26-$30 per hour, based on experience.
