Job Title: Water/Wastewater Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team at Advanced Engineering & Environmental Services, Inc. in Denver, CO.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Water/Wastewater Engineer to work on a variety of projects, including design, construction, and operation of water supply and distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and water/wastewater treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional services for civil engineering projects, including design, plans, specifications, reports, project budgets, scope of work, permits, contracts, schedules, estimates, and coordination of sub-consultants and contractors.
  • Work within multi-discipline projects that include civil, electrical, and architectural aspects.
  • Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work.
  • Assist Project Manager in maintaining budgets and schedules of project assignments and in maintaining quality client relationships and communication.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings.
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers, technicians, and other project team members.
  • Gather critical data to assist clients with project financing and funding development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • Fundamentals in Engineering (EIT) certified.
  • Ability to travel as required for business development and project/client responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Maintain stellar reputation for integrity, fairness, reliability, good judgement and aptitude among peers, management, and staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
  • Five (5) years of related experience.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer ideal or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Proficient with Civil 3D, ESRI Products, and/or hydraulic or process modeling software.
  • Design work and knowledge with water supply, water resources, drinking water and wastewater treatment and collection systems, utility planning, and other municipal vertical and horizontal infrastructure.
  • Experience leading both internal initiatives and external projects.
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
