Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at Cambridge HS. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Provide routine daily nursing care to residents, adhering to facility standards and policies.
  • Conduct vital sign checks, dress wounds, and insert catheters as needed.
  • Listen to residents' concerns and address their questions in a timely and empathetic manner.
  • Accurately document resident progress notes and report any changes in condition to the nurse supervisor.
  • Assist and supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in their duties.
  • Ensure equipment is in good working order and monitor residents at risk for falls.
  • Collect lab samples and adhere to Infection Control policies.
  • Report any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or hazardous materials to a supervisor immediately.
  • Attend annual facility in-service training programs and complete other assignments as requested by management.
Requirements
  • Completion of LVN training from an accredited school or college.
  • Valid LVN license in good standing.
  • Valid CPR and BLS certification.
  • IV certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 year of skilled nursing experience preferred.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.
  • Ability to use a computer or tablet to enter resident data.
Working Conditions

May encounter frequent interruptions and be involved with residents, family, and government agencies. May be requested to work beyond scheduled working hours at times and be subject to call back during emergency conditions. May be exposed to odors, dust, disinfectants, tobacco smoking, or air contaminants, as well as infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day, working throughout the nursing areas. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, with assistance required for lifting more weight up to 100 pounds. Ability to read fine print on a tablet, progress notes, and/or medical labels is required.
