Griffin Hospital is a 160-bed acute care community hospital serving over 100,000 residents of the Lower Naugatuck Valley Region. We are actively seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team and contribute to our outstanding organization.
About the RoleThe Outpatient Psychiatrist will provide direct clinical services and clinical supervision in the Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic and the Intensive Outpatient Programs. This role will involve working in collaboration with the Chair of Psychiatric Services and the Director of Psychiatric Services to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct clinical services to patients in the Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic and Intensive Outpatient Programs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary behavioral services staff, including RNs, APRNs, Licensed Social Workers, and Counselor and Front Office Support Staff
- Organize and participate in team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans
- Teach medical students and residents as part of their training
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
To be successful in this role, you will need to be board certified or eligible in psychiatry. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
