Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve meals in accordance with established menus and portion guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes and pots.
  • Manage beverage stations and set up food service areas.
  • Deliver food to staff and students as needed.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations regarding food handling.
  • Follow security protocols and guidelines at the work location.
  • Receive and store incoming supplies appropriately.
  • Participate in safety committees and attend mandatory training sessions.
  • Handle cash and manage point-of-sale transactions if required.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Support the mission and objectives of Whitsons Culinary Group.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications: Servsafe certification is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year in a professional food service environment.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position include:
  • Frequent standing, walking, and talking.
  • Using hands to handle kitchen tools and equipment.
  • Lifting and moving items up to 40 pounds.
  • Working in a kitchen environment with exposure to varying temperatures.

Work Environment:
This position is primarily based in a kitchen setting, requiring movement in and out of storage areas and freezers. The noise level may vary from moderate to loud, and the role involves exposure to hot and cold environments.
