About the Role:

The Safety Superintendent is a critical member of our team at Geopaq Logic, responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction safety for our client job sites in the Atlanta area. This role requires a strong leader who can partner with both the Client and GC project teams to manage the safety conditions and performance of the projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular safety compliance observations at multiple job sites to ensure adherence to OSHA, VOSH, and MOSH regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with GC safety and project management teams to ensure a collaborative approach to safety.
  • Provide coaching and training to employees to reinforce best practices and promote a culture of safety.
  • Develop and conduct Job Hazard Analysis to identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Perform root cause investigations and respond to accidents and incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Make recommendations and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations.
  • Manage safety citations and corrective actions for employees and subcontractor employees on site.
  • Communicate hazards and risks to employees, customers, project management, and the Director of Safety.
  • Represent the company during safety audits and inspections.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations of job sites electronically.
  • Handle employee discipline in accordance with company policy.
  • Set an example for safe work practices on and off worksites.

Requirements:

  • 4 years of experience in construction safety and health program management.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, local safety laws, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Strong leadership skills, sound judgment, and ability to work independently.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite and CPR/First Aid certification.
  • OSHA 30/500/510 certification preferred.
  • Experience working on commercial or civil construction projects.
