The Featured Merchant Algorithm (FMA) aims to deliver the best offer evaluation experience, ensuring that Amazon customers encounter the most relevant and appealing offers—irrespective of seller, brand, or shopping format—throughout their shopping journey.
As the leading authority in offer recommendations, we are dedicated to minimizing the cognitive load on shoppers while fostering competition among various programs and offers. Our team comprises Scientists, Economists, Engineers, and Designers working collaboratively to achieve this mission. We engage in a diverse range of activities, including modeling customer purchasing behavior, advanced simulations, experimentation, evaluation, and compliance, utilizing a variety of machine learning, statistical, and econometric techniques.
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in developing machine learning models for business applications.
- PhD or Master's degree with at least 6 years of applied research experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with modeling tools like R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, TensorFlow, numpy, and scipy.
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems such as Hadoop and Spark.
- A background in applied research.
