Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to analyze patient samples and provide accurate results.
- Operate and maintain complex laboratory equipment, including microscopes, spectrophotometers, and automated analyzers.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely test results, and to develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies, and participate in ongoing education and training programs.
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
- Three years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Advanced knowledge of laboratory procedures and instrumentation.
- Ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers.
- Advanced knowledge of laboratory information systems.
- Critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
