Job Summary

This research position is focused on the public policy aspects of telecommunications, competition, cybersecurity, federal acquisition, and the future of work. The successful candidate will have experience navigating the record in the appropriate policy forums and have a strong background in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on public policy issues related to telecommunications, competition, cybersecurity, federal acquisition, and the future of work
  • Develop and effectively present policy research reports to a larger team and relevant stakeholders
  • Assist the team in reviewing and understanding the needs of commercial, federal, and academic stakeholders in the technology industry space
  • Experience moving original research from design to academic publication is preferred
  • Clear understanding of general concepts and verbiage associated with both the commercial and federal use of key technology services is also highly preferred

Requirements

  • Master's Degree
  • Currently pursuing an advanced degree in a relevant field
  • Experience in creating FOIA requests
  • Demonstrated experience in statistical analysis, content analysis, and legal analysis as research tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in Public Policy or Communications & Technology
