This role involves overseeing the Outside Plant (OSP) operations for both wireline and wireless divisions. The supervisor will lead a small team responsible for underground telecommunications excavation, conduit and cable installation, as well as site restoration. While the supervisor will report to a Project Manager who handles client and administrative responsibilities, direct client interaction is still a key aspect of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of three, including a helper and a technician, ensuring efficient workflow and task completion.
- Utilize heavy machinery, particularly backhoes, with proficiency in navigating underground installations.
- Provide clear direction and support to team members to ensure project success.
Work Environment:
This is a permanent opportunity with a leading firm in the industry, known for its employee ownership model and exceptional benefits, including 401K and stock options. The supervisor will be provided with a company vehicle and will typically work outdoors, adapting to various weather conditions.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in OSP supervision or underground construction.

This position offers a structured work schedule, typically Monday through Friday, with flexibility in start times. The team will operate from a designated facility, with the option to take vehicles home for convenience.
