About the Role

This position is for a technical leader in equipment engineering within our BESS design team. As the technical leader, you will be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, selecting and sizing key equipment, and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.

The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and knowledge of power distribution system fundamentals, including NEC, UL, IEEE, OBC, NFPA, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Mentor junior engineers in equipment engineering best practices
  • Select and size key equipment during the BESS design process
  • Review technical requirements and provide responses to technical RFIs related to BOM
  • Create and manage BOMs, including major equipment and BOP
  • Coordinate between subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers
  • Develop and maintain standard practices and best practices
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 8+ years of experience in a power generation and distribution environment. Professional engineering designation is preferred.

Candidates should also possess excellent working knowledge of Excel and BOM management, familiarity with project management tools, and knowledge of health and safety legislation.

Location and Salary

This full-time position is located in the US, with expected travel of 10% or less. The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000 - $160,000, depending on location and experience.
