We are seeking a highly skilled End Use Specialist to join our team at Lighthouse Professional Services. As a key member of our technical services team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to our customers and potential customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Organize and lead technical service experiments and projects for assigned end-uses as approved by End-Use Managers.
- Review and modify technical service protocols from the chemistry team.
- Mentor and train chemists on testing methods and paint formulations.
- Draft reports on technical service experiments conducted.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff in Wesel, Germany, on processes and problem-solving.
- Communicate technical information effectively to various stakeholders.
- Travel to Wesel, Germany, for training and to customer sites (30-40% of time) to present lab TSRs and new products.
- Serve as a technical liaison to labs in Germany, Netherlands, US, and Mexico.
- Participate in seminars and trade shows as needed.
- Order and maintain stock of raw materials for paints and coatings.
- Interface with raw material suppliers regarding pigments, resins, and formulations.
- Guide lab chemists in project recommendations and evaluations of competitive products.
- Prepare monthly activity reports and respond to customer technical inquiries.
- Handle hazardous waste and follow emergency response procedures as required.
- Four-year technical degree and/or approximately 10 years of practical experience.
- Previous paint technical service experience is essential.
