Position Summary

We are seeking a Systems Maintenance Engineer to lead the development and execution of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) strategies for our facilities. This role will involve overseeing maintenance operations for both nuclear and conventional infrastructures, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance in asset maintenance and reliability to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Design and implement an RCM program aimed at maximizing the service life of equipment and systems, utilizing condition-based monitoring techniques.
  • Conduct Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to evaluate the interdependencies of utility systems and assess asset criticality.
  • Employ advanced technologies, including drones and infrared imaging, to inspect and diagnose equipment in challenging environments.
  • Analyze and resolve reliability issues within infrastructure systems, identifying opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Establish and manage maintenance schedules based on equipment conditions, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the effective maintenance of systems and equipment.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Must be eligible for a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship.
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in reliability-centered maintenance planning and operations.
  • Proficient in interpreting construction drawings and conducting design reviews.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interaction with diverse personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and tackle complex challenges.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate and experience with drone operations.
  • Certification as a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional.
  • Professional Engineer registration in California or other states with reciprocity.
