Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Installation Specialist to join our team at Allied Universal Technology Services. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of electronic security systems for our enterprise commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager in scheduling on-site work activities and ensuring timely delivery of equipment.
  • Connect control panels, apply requirements, conceal wires, and install security software.
  • Install, program, and configure commercial electronic security systems, including door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low-voltage communication, and fire alarm systems.
  • Troubleshoot new installations to ensure systems are functioning properly and meet codes.
  • Demonstrate Allied Universal's core values as a highly skilled leader on the installation team.
  • Supervise teams of Security Installation Technicians and manage multiple medium to large jobs simultaneously.
  • Drive to client sites to perform system installations and confirm systems are operating effectively and meet contract requirements.
  • Install electrical wiring, panels, cable, and security devices.
  • Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the manager.
Requirements
  • 06 License required.
  • Valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle.
  • Ability to be on-call on a rotational basis.
  • High School Degree or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm, or low-voltage communication industry installing field devices, programming systems, and running medium to large-sized jobs.
  • Experience with software such as Software House, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacq, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh, or ONSSI preferred.
  • Possess or have the ability to obtain proper state licensing once hired (Low Voltage D license, Alarm Installer Lic., etc.).
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with minimum direction.
  • Good communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to complete time entry from home on a daily basis via the Internet.
  • Ability to deliver product familiarization training to end-users.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Project).
  • Ability and track record of successfully loading servers with 3rd-party applications.
  • Ability and track record of successfully deploying IP video solutions.
  • Possess general working knowledge of network architecture.
  • Overnight travel may be required on an as-needed basis.
