Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Energy Casualty Underwriter to join our dynamic team. This role involves evaluating and underwriting complex new and renewal business with minimal supervision, utilizing our established underwriting framework. The successful candidate will ensure exceptional service delivery to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as an advocate for customer industries, enhancing the overall customer experience by understanding their unique risks and providing tailored insurance solutions.
- Employ a systematic approach to risk assessment, exposure evaluation, and pricing strategies.
- Utilize data insights and models to inform decision-making at the point of sale.
- Engage in market-facing activities within the Energy Casualty division.
- Administer and uphold underwriting guidelines, insurance regulations, and rating manual standards.
- Work within broad parameters on highly intricate assignments.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, along with relevant experience in underwriting or market-facing roles.
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial casualty underwriting.
- Established relationships with brokers in the Mid-Atlantic region.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a sales-oriented mindset.
