We are seeking a highly skilled Intensive Care Practitioner to join our team at Luminis Health. As a critical care professional, you will be responsible for providing emergent and urgent care to patients in critical condition, including those in general surgery and surgical subspecialties, cardiology, and medical patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate critically ill patients in ICU/IMU, ED, recovery room, and on medicine/surgical services.
  • Provide emergent and urgent care to patients in critical condition.
  • Perform history and physical examination of patients.
  • Write orders and interpret laboratory data and radiological tests.
  • Monitor patient status and response to treatments.
  • Document findings in the ICU medical record.
  • Recommend and initiate appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Consult with subspecialty services as appropriate.
  • Provide education and counseling for patients and families.
Expertise:
  • Perform procedures such as intubation, central line placement, arterial line placement, lumbar puncture, chest tube insertion, and paracentesis.
  • Participate in daily team rounding, periodic M&M sessions, and department conferences/teaching opportunities.
  • Maintain close working relationships with nursing and medical staff.
  • Participate in continuing education programs and departmental quality assurance, risk management, and compliance efforts.
  • Involved in critical care research projects and renal replacement therapy.
  • Facilitate the transfer of critical care patients to other facilities.

Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
  • Two (2) years of related clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
Salary Range:

$85,000 - $120,000 per year
