Job Title: Senior Associate Director of Communications

Princeton University's Office of the Dean for Research (ODFR) is seeking a Senior Associate Director of Communications to lead communications operations and support the evolving needs of our world-class research community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic communications plans to promote ODFR's mission and goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, the Office of Innovation Communications team, and other University partners to develop effective communications strategies.
  • Provide guidance to ODFR staff on communications best practices and audience sensitivity.
  • Supervise staff, interns, and internal and external service providers in the production of communications materials.
  • Monitor website analytics and social media performance to inform communications strategies.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in communications, public relations, or marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing strategic communications plans with measurable results.
  • Exceptional writing skills and ability to coach others.
  • Understanding of web content strategy, accessibility standards, and emerging digital trends.
  • Proficiency with content management systems, digital marketing tools, and social media platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in higher education communications.
  • Experience managing staff or service providers.
  • Familiarity with performance measurement, analytics, and managing creative resources.
