Senior Principal Scientist/Associate Director Neurology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Principal Scientist/Associate Director Neurology to join our Translational Medicine team.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge research and development projects in neurology and neuropsychiatry. As a Senior Principal Scientist/Associate Director, you will be responsible for leading translational medicine and clinical biomarker activities to support drug development programs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including project teams, clinical research physicians, statisticians, computational biologists, contract research organizations, and translational scientists.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement program-specific biomarker/translational plans, including creation of clinical protocols, SAPs, SOWs, lab manuals, and interfacing with CROs for execution of services.
- Determine appropriate assays and vendors for clinical biomarkers and manage outsourcing of biomarker assay development and validation, partnering with Translational Sciences colleagues when applicable.
- Manage clinical biomarker data delivery and analysis, working with relevant internal functions and CROs, and prepare and deliver internal and external translational/biomarker presentations.
- Maintain timelines for biomarker data-related publication through interaction with Medical Communications and Publication team as needed.
- Keep up-to-date on relevant scientific/technical literature to apply external knowledge to internal research programs and act as a subject-matter expert within the team to critically evaluate the literature regarding the asset and disease biology.
- 10+ years of academic and/or industry experience, or Master's Degree with 8+ years of experience, or Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in the Life Sciences with 6+ years of experience.
- 2+ years of leadership experience, with a track record of delivering results, driving continuous improvements, and building effective cross-functional networks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
Bristol-Myers Squibb offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $159,000 - $200,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
