Job Overview

As a Van Truckload Driver Instructor at Schneider, you will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and onboarding new driver associates while they are in training. Your primary goal will be to teach and evaluate the skills needed to be successful driver associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach and mentor new driver associates in a team environment.
  • Teach and evaluate the skills needed to be successful driver associates.
  • Perform hands-on training both in the classroom and in the truck.
  • Cover critical components of training, including safety, hours of service, trip-planning, workflow, tablet, policies, and procedures.
  • Act as a safety advocate and driver retention ambassador for the organization.

Requirements
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • DOT physical card.
  • Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.
  • Ability to coach and mentor effectively.
  • Live within 25 miles of Indianapolis, IN.
