Magellan Health is seeking a highly skilled Military and Family Life Counselor to provide behavioral health services to children and youth of military service members and their families. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with military installations and schools to provide non-medical counseling, training, and health and wellness presentations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide non-medical counseling services to children and youth of military service members and their families
  • Develop and implement training programs for military personnel and families on behavioral health topics
  • Collaborate with military installations and schools to provide health and wellness presentations and events
  • Enter counselor activity data on a daily basis through a smartphone or web application
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with community resources focused on children and youth
Requirements:
  • Master's degree from an accredited graduate program in a relevant field of study (e.g., social work, psychology, marriage/family therapy, or counseling)
  • Valid unrestricted counseling license from a State, District of Columbia, US Territory, or Commonwealth
  • Minimum 2 years of post-masters supervised clinical experience
  • Ability to engage and communicate with military members or children as assigned
  • Ability to work in a variety of physical environments and comply with site-specific requirements
