About the Role

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated and results-focused Health Equity Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring a strategic approach is taken and managed in our excellent and equitable health outcomes portfolio to mitigate inequities and achieve equitable health and well-being for all youth and children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy Development and Implementation

Collaborate with leadership, internal stakeholders, and community partners to provide strategic leadership in designing and implementing community and institutional initiatives that promote health equity and improve child health outcomes.

Project Planning and Coordination

Co-develop and plan internal and external processes within an equity framework to understand causes and needed clinical-community response, working closely with frontline teams, DEI, external experts, and community-based organizations.

Operational Support and Expertise

Communicate and promote a shared purpose and narrative around a compelling and integrating vision, providing operational leadership in the process to co-develop measures and measurement systems across hospital and community.

Data Analysis and Quality Improvement

Collaborate with data and QI teams to create and execute project plans that will lead to effective gathering and interpreting of equity data, and improvement plans to improve outcomes.

Collaboration and Adaptability

Lead cross-functional projects and teams on complex business challenges, interpreting and addressing business challenges, developing best practices, and overseeing execution.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field and 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline, or a Master's degree and 4+ years' experience.
  • Experience working with diverse groups within a healthcare setting and a history of clinical work experience.
  • Experience taking an integrated strategic approach for a defined portfolio of work and developing tactics to achieve strategies and outcomes.
  • Ability to manage complex programs or projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Strong leadership and relationship skills with the ability to influence and drive change across teams.
  • Experience and commitment to advocating for equity and inclusion both internally and externally of the institution.
  • Background or knowledge in continuous/quality improvement.
