Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Oncology Nurse to fill a Telephone Triage position at our WCI outpatient clinic. This full-time role involves working primarily days, Monday to Friday, with one day per week from home. As a key member of our team, you will engage in clinical assessment, symptom management, patient education, addressing critical lab values, care coordination, and collaborating with oncology/hematology provider teams.

Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, providing evidence-based interventions, and prioritizing tasks effectively. Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously are essential for this role. Additionally, you will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to the URMC IICARE values of integrity, inclusion, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence.

Qualifications:
A Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State RN license are mandatory. A minimum of 6-12 months of RN experience is required, with a focus on oncology nursing. Your strong interpersonal and assessment skills, as well as excellent communication skills, will enable you to succeed in this challenging yet rewarding role.
