Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Oncology team at Unity Hospital. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

About the Role:

This part-time position offers an estimated salary range of $37.18 - $49.92 per hour, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oncology nursing and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for assessing patients, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Care and Service: Provide physical, educational, and emotional support to patients and their families.
  2. Planning and Communication: Develop and document individualized care plans, maintain effective communication with healthcare teams, and convey patient health status and treatment plans.
  3. Electronic Health Record (EHR) Management: Demonstrate proficient use of EHR systems, including accurate patient and provider documentation and communication.
  4. Compliance: Adhere to department and system protocols, regulations, and education requirements.

Requirements:

  • AS degree in Nursing or equivalent
  • New York State Education Department (NYSED) RN license
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification
