Position Overview:

The role of the EMS Instructor at InsideHigherEd is primarily focused on delivering high-quality educational experiences in a lab and clinical setting. The instructor is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the curriculum, fostering student achievement, and supporting the overarching mission of the educational institution.

Key Responsibilities:

This position entails:

  • Providing effective instruction to students in the EMS program.
  • Ensuring that students are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet industry standards.
  • Collaborating with fellow faculty and program directors to align teaching objectives and expectations.
  • Monitoring student progress and offering constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Maintaining a professional and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A valid license to practice as an EMT-Paramedic or EMT-Advanced.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant clinical or field experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software.
  • Flexibility in teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
Physical Requirements:

This role requires the ability to:

  • Occasionally lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Engage in frequent communication with students and staff.
  • Move throughout the classroom and lab environments to assist students.
Preferred Qualifications:

An Associate's Degree is preferred for this position.
