OU Health is seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our Pediatric Emergency Department team. As a Paramedic, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide emergency care to pediatric patients, including stabilization and transport of sick and injured patients.
- Collect and convey information to physicians and licensed nurses regarding patient health status.
- Carry out treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Maintain clear communication with attending physicians and licensed nurses about patient care issues.
- Observe and report patients' signs and symptoms.
- Contribute to the development and modification of patient care plans.
- Assist with delivering and documenting patient care.
- Ensure patient safety and maintain competence with charting.
- Successful completion of Paramedic training program.
- Two years of hospital and/or pre-hospital experience providing immediate stabilization and transport of sick and injured patients.
- Current license issued by the Oklahoma State Department of Health as a Paramedic.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- PALS certification from the American Heart Association within 3 months of hire.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 6 months of hire.
